Maybe "ghost update" have some relevance in the old tracker but in my experience they have no meaning in the new family class tracker. For eg, I finished my medicals back in Jul, and have received plenty of "ghost" updates since. But I know they did not start on my eligibility till Jan of this...

Yup, they mean zilch. I have had a pile of these "updates" in the last 4 months, but as per my MP and the IRCC call center nothing has begun on my application.

This is so infuriating to just read; can not begin to imagine how you must feel. Blows my mind that they would ask you to reapply with 0 accountability from their end. I hope you find the mental energy to reapply and may you be the lucky ones this time who get it in a matter of months..

I think the jury is still out on whether these “ghost updates” mean anything; on social media and a lot of older threads on this forum (pre-COVID), seem to suggest they mean something but who knows what it means with this new tracker. As a person shared earlier on, their GCMS notes did not...
