Discrimination possible in Warsaw Processing Office?

So is an approval of TRV for wife possible, even though there is next to none proof that she will return to Russia? We have written about compassionate reasons, and that she would never break immigration law - sounds flimsy on paper but not sure what else to include. We just want to get her over...

Discrimination possible in Warsaw Processing Office?

I appreciate all the thoughtful replies in this thread, especially from Armoured. A quick update regarding myself and perhaps other facing a similar situation: me and my wife will stay in Serbia from December until early Spring at the minimum. Background & Eligibility for wife has still not been...

Discrimination possible in Warsaw Processing Office?

Sorry to hear. We shall suffer the stress together as this gets worse and worse. Wife and I were also discussing a permanent flight out of Russia to Mexico via Turkey and then doing all the PR processing there. Mexico allows 180 days of visa-free stay.

Discrimination possible in Warsaw Processing Office?

Yes, me and wife are aware and will be starting these documents as soon as possible. Thank you. We just have no idea when the PR will be done - visa also potentially difficult as officer needs proof that she would leave Canada at the end of the period. Hard to prove that if she's coming with...

Discrimination possible in Warsaw Processing Office?

Nothing applied for yet; but I know by law any child born abroad to a Canadian parent is granted citizenship at birth. It's a matter of applying for the Proof of Citizenship and receiving the certificate.

Discrimination possible in Warsaw Processing Office?

Child is a citizen by my birthright as a Canadian, wife is not a citizen - she can't leave unless PR or Visa is approved.

Discrimination possible in Warsaw Processing Office?

Thank you for your thoughtful reply. Regarding the discrimination question, it was merely to ask about the possibility if the clerks in Warsaw office may put her file somewhere out of sight and simply not address it... this causes distress. Can you please clarify your last point - I'm not sure...

Is it possible to wait for PPR in third country?

Yes in Warsaw. We will be trying for a visitor visa with special request regarding the emergency circumstances... will see how that goes.

Is it possible to wait for PPR in third country?

Wife and I are in a similar situation, except I am in Canada and she is in Russia with our newborn child. Eligibility and background check not started still for her. We will be exploring options of staying in third countries until PR is processed. This is all so awful and stressful.

Discrimination possible in Warsaw Processing Office?

I don't want to stir any controversy, but I am trying to get my Russian spouse out of Russia as quickly as possible considering the hell it's becoming, and that our first child was just born there. Our Spousal Sponsorship application was submitted in August of 2021 and since April, my wife's...

Citizenship Process for Child Born Outside Canada (Russia)

Hello all, Hoping to clear up some confusion regarding the future birth of my child. I am a naturalized Canadian citizen from a long time ago, my wife is Russian and waiting for her PR visa from my Sponsorship application. Due to the wait times, it is likely she may be giving birth to our child...
