You should receive and email from passport office with a unique file number starting from CAT****. Give this file number to one of your relative in india and ask them to go to the designated police station as stated in your application to see if your papers have been received or else the cops...

After the police verification it takes about a week to get an update.

Well not really sure.. Could that they will approve on pre verification. but just to be safe its better your relative goes to the police station to check

Did you get the email from passport India about the initiation of your police verification. If yes there is a unique ref number starting with CAT. Give that to your relative in India and ask them to go to the police station which is on your application and give that number to the police person...

The status for me has changed on BLS website to in transit from CGI to BLS centre. How many more days now
