I was wondering if I would need to show tax returns for the sponsorship, because I did a soft landing and didn't file my taxes. Many Thanks.

I would suggest that you look into express entry federal skilled worker, if you're under 30 years of age, have a master's degree and are confident you could get good scores on IELTS. Please keep in mind that this is the most straightforward pathway, there are hundreds of immigration pathways...

Hello guys, I'm a recent PR via FSW EE, less than 6 months. Planning on getting married soon. Question is, would me being a recent PR hinder me from sponsoring my wife? Thanks. I'm assuming the 5 year ban only applies to those that became PRs via family sponsorship.

@mushymush Congrats on your PPR!!! 6 weeks is just WOW!! Ottawa is a great place, expensive but great, I suggest buying your electronics from the US. Since there is a high incidence of TB and other lung diseases, I don't think that they will extend medicals for most high disease burden countries. If it doesn't hurt you much financially to get the medicals, then go for upfront and upload via a webform (if you know your VO). But kim that the...

I'm not 100% sure, but countries that comprise the 5 eyes, share information very readily, but not sure if biometrics would be included. Their website says if you're a national of any other country, you'll have to give biometrics. I'd prepare for being given a BIL.

Check the fee you paid when you got your AOR. Biometrics cost ~85$. I assume you just paid all the fees at once, the RPRF (Right of Permanent Residence fee), Biometrics and the Permanent Resident Application Fee, total should be ~1,500$.

When you apply and send your documents, that is considered an acceptance of invitation, if there is such a thing, lol. Welcome to post-ITA stress, buckle up, coz after sending in your application, there will be pre-PPR anxiety and finally post-landing everyday worry, ;-) Congrats guys!!!

Your salary will be mentioned in the reference letter along with the hours work and etc... As long as there is regularity in the amounts credited, they'll figure it out. What's most important, imo, is the fact that the money truly is yours and not borrowed, so you won't be a problem when you land...
