Current study permit timeline SDS vs Non-SDS

Sure you can dm. And no it's not about ethics really, I did the same, from what I understand it's probably just to set the parameters for the website so that it can ask you for the correct documents. I am not entirely sure but I think that the answers to those questions aren't read by...

[India] Do I need attested bank statements for proof of funds for a non-sds permit?

Hello, My parents will be helping me fund my master's degree. I have a scholarship and a GIC which I got myself but for the rest, I am putting in my parent's e-bank statements. I also have a bank certificate with the sum total of all the accounts individually in a tabular format which is...

I request people who applied for a study permit in or after April of this year to share their timeline, I am in a huge dilemma regarding sds vs n.sds.

Hard to say tbh but non SDS seems to be no worse than SDS at the very least even tho there's a small chance it might be better. However remember it has a higher chance of rejection too so depending on your profile you should go for it.

I request people who applied for a study permit in or after April of this year to share their timeline, I am in a huge dilemma regarding sds vs n.sds.

Ahh I see, it might have been influenced by luck. I am worried about it taking 2 months because that's all the time I have left so if something goes wrong there's no time to rectify anything. I'll have one shot basically.

I request people who applied for a study permit in or after April of this year to share their timeline, I am in a huge dilemma regarding sds vs n.sds.

I am worried about the part where it took 2 months. Since some people who have the upfront medical answered as yes got theirs in like 8-10 days , a few weeks ago, ofcourse that might change but who knows. These study permit procedures are like black boxes.

I see. Try checking their websites once. I too was waiting for the ielts TRF but apparently they only do eTRFs these days and the body that hosts these tests here posted the eTRFs online even tho it isn't explicitly mentioned anywhere that they won't send via post, which is how I got it in 2020.

I request people who applied for a study permit in or after April of this year to share their timeline, I am in a huge dilemma regarding sds vs n.sds.

Yup my answers were all yes till now apart from the tuition fees. The reason I put upfront medical as Yes is because I heard from a few people that apparently even tho they don't have a slot , if I attach my medical report and have that answer as yes then it speeds up the process. Same reason...

I request people who applied for a study permit in or after April of this year to share their timeline, I am in a huge dilemma regarding sds vs n.sds.

Hey thank you for the help so far. I had another question. If I pay an entire years tuition fees minus my exemption amount but select "No" when asked if I have paid a years tuition fees in advance , so that I can avail the non SDS option, does it impact my profile negatively? Will they reject it...

I don't think my financials are weak but my parents are funding for me. And my work/education should be upto par. Also thanks for the information. My LOA doesn't have coop information but my university has a separate letter which I'll be asking for. I was just worried since this would be a...

Thank you so much for the detailed response. I am still trying to decide on whether to apply non SDS and if I do if I should mention that my course has a work term. Wondering if having a work permit for the term makes my visa take longer to get approved.

I request people who applied for a study permit in or after April of this year to share their timeline, I am in a huge dilemma regarding sds vs n.sds.

Okay a few questions I was checking the non SDS document page but there are only 7 slots for uploading documents. Do I just attach all of these in one pdf ? As in sponsorship letter, etc. Also does that mean there are other ways besides a sponsorship letter to show that my parents are willing...

Thanks for the reply. Could you tell me what I would need to show for financial proof, my parents will be helping me with funds but there are no loans involved. Does that count as strong financials? Also about the rest of the profile, what exactly counts as a strong profile?

Would you happen to know if it's approximately the same time? Or is it in fact longer than the non SDS category currently?

Current study permit timeline SDS vs Non-SDS

My classes start in September and I am yet to receive the official admission letter. Following that I need to apply CAQ as well. Considering the tight schedule would it be better to apply for a non-SDS visa instead? I've heard from a few people that the SDS wait time is similar if not more at...
