I suggest that you apply after marriage . When applied separately there is lot of wait time plus rejections. I am facing that problem now. Applying together is the best thing to do.

@scylla I have applied for my wife visitor visa on Feb 1st 2022 and biometric done on Feb 8th 2022.. Applied in GCKey... The application is from India and I am currently in Canada on WP. Should she reapply in new portal or wait for decision in GCKey only?

Applied on Feb 1st and Biometric completed on Feb 8th... Waiting from 3 months...

I guess applying through the new portal is better..

Hi Even I have used the GCKey Portal and applied for a spouse visa on Feb 1 2022. Worried and not sure if i have to reapply again in new portal... And anyone one can file using the new portal again but i am not sure if it will reset the wait time to Day 1 again

It could be because after biometric and medical get updated the profile status also gets updated.

Hi Can you please give details of when you submitted the application, Biometrics Completed, Medical updated on portal and when you received PPR request? Which Country you applied from? Spouse or Parents? Visitor Visa or Spouse?

There is an option to raise a visa in such cases under compassionate ground. Can you try that? I had come across a video on Youtube -- . Hope it helps..
