But does the current location matter that much (genuinely trying to understand)? Since they are here only on visitor visa and will be returning to their country of residence where they own house, family, etc to show ties to their country of residence? Or have we seen it to not be strong enough...

Thanks for the reply @aspirecanada2021 In the new portal at-least I do not see the question "Countries or Territory where applying". I only see "countries or territories of residence" and was thus confused about this. Am I missing something? I am using this link to access the new portal...
