Hi there, I received my citizenship certificate today, after taking the oath on March 31st. Thanks everyone for the support :)

Hey there, I had my citizenship ceremony yesterday with Judge Joan Mahoney and around 65 other candidates. Just waiting for my certificate now to then apply for a passport. Hang in there y'all, almost there!

Just got my oath scheduled for March 31! My application is in the Montreal office, and the last update I got was on January 5th, where everything got marked as Completed except the ceremony. :)

I have very similar timeline: Application: November 2020 AOR: February 2021 Test: July 2021 I got everything marked as Completed on January 5. After that, nothing. Ctitizenship Ceremony still marked as Not Started.

I got Decision Made in January 5 and no news about the oath (Citizenship ceremony still Not Started) :confused:

Is anyone from Montreal getting invited for oath recently?

It says afterwards "...who can't travel to Bangladesh to be with her mother — who has breast cancer — due to her expired PR card and the delay on her status.". Many people likely don't renew their PR cards counting on the citizenship being approved on time, that sucks.

They might be working on those applications now. I did ask for GCMS notes about a month ago though (still haven't received them). That might have helped to move things a bit.

Finally got some response after months of inactivity! (Montreal office) Application Delivered: November 2020 AOR: Feb 2, 2021 Background Verification Completed: April 12, 2021 Citizenship test completed: July 28, 2021 Prohibitions/Language Skills/Physical Presence completed: Jan 5, 2022...

Our applications are very much in the same state. Background verification was completed on April 12th for me. Passport copies sent on October 4th, then nothing :confused: I requested notes under the privacy act, waiting on that.
