It's a temporary UCI given to applications and updates to the UCI on your study/work permit when an agent starts processing your application. I am not sure when exactly they update the UCI number.

How long did it take for your UCI to update from the temporary CANXXXXX format to the proper UCI? Did it update at the same time your medical passed?

I am applying with an upfront new medical. One of my friends just got their CEC application approved with an old medical. My understanding is, it takes one month to pass medical and bio if you use a new medical and two months if you use an old medical. The overall timeline is unaffected.

@Everyone Does anyone else's online profile still mention a UCI number starting with CAN?

I heard the current processing times are 2-3 months. We should expect the medicals to be passed approx. 30 days (+-4 days) from the AOR date.
