What you ask is difficult especially since you are not a PR. Anybody is free to apply for a visiting visa but only IRCC determines what constitutes strong ties. You can give it a trial after all, it’s only CAD$100 you’ll lose.

From all indication, you have the necessary information. Therefore, I am certain you can manage your expectations. 48 months is not cast in stone. It could be more or less. It starts counting from the day your Wife’s application is received by IRCC for PR processing.

Your question is not very clear. However, nobody, not even Canadian citizens have the power to provide tourist visas. It’s only IRCC that can grant anyone visa after going through the necessary process to ensure that the person is a fit and proper person and not a danger to Canada.

Yes you can. You can travel to your home country (country of citizenship) without any problems because you were never a refugee nor a protected person. Your wife can only travel to back after she becomes a Canadian citizen.

Nothing stops you from applying for a visitor’s visa as long as you’re qualified for it. Being a dependent of a protected person doesn’t disqualify you. Just prove your financial capability and enough ties in your country while applying.

Really sad and frustrating! Just keep hope alive. Have done biometrics and medical? This is also the time to disturb them since you have reached the processing time. The principal applicant should also petition his/her MP with the necessary information.

You can only view their application through eCAS (Client Application Status). The eCAS has no facility to send/receive requested documents. Whatever is required of them is sent via Webform or as directed by IRCC. The next step is determined by IRCC. There’s no uniform steps for all applicants...

The shortest response is NO. It’s only through eCAS you can follow his/her application.

Therefore, it’s advisable to link your application to your GCKey account and monitor it from there. That’s even far better than viewing it on eCAS. All the best.

There are no set rules on when IRCC contacts dependents of protected persons overseas. However, people can give you their experience to help you make judgments. In my case, my family abroad was contacted exactly a month after the processing of my application started. It was via email. Processing...

My understanding of the Pilot Program is that the principal applicant and the dependents abroad are processed together and PR issued at the same time.

A A mismatch of information is the only possible reason you can’t access eCAS. Nothing else. You can cross check the information in your application against what you’re filling now.
