    From what I've heard from 2 different families who were in a similar situation, adding a child to PR application can extend your timeline quite a bit. I can't say how long but I know a family who has been waiting for 2 years now...

    Actually already done! I applied for my son's citizenship certificate on June 1 and it arrived by June 15, only two weeks! No need to apply for citizenship and passport simultaneously. I guess those incredibly long processing times the website claims are only for adults and not children...
