From the comments in this thread, it looks like for BC, its taking more time as compared to ON applications. Haven't read about other provinces here

My friend received mail around 2 AM IST, while I received around 9 PM IST. You can expect email during Canada business hours

For kid, you can put your name and signature, after all its VFS form, nothing to do with IRCC. IRCC is only interested in passport submission letter and original passport:)

I got to know that for ICT - Specialized knowledge category, it is very important to prove that employee has good knowledge and experience on company's in-house tools which are not available in market. This knowledge cannot be possessed by any person in Canada as the tools are company's own...

My current company provided letter of reference on company letter head, in which they mentioned all the roles and responsibilities to be performed during my tenure in Canada. For previous companies, I submitted appointment letters and relieving and exp letters

Yes, I also got additional documents request. They asked me for letters of reference, prev employers appointment and relieving letters, form 16 and bank statement. My company prepared letter of ref and told me submit it along with other docs, I got PPR after 13 days of submission
