As I understand it about 90% of CEC applicants are inland, so they processed those quickly. Unfortunately a lot of those of us who applied from abroad have been stuck in limbo too.

Are you sure about that or am I missing a detail? I am a CEC outland (AOR Dec 2019) and my medicals were extended to Sept 24, 2021, according to my GCMS notes. I haven't received the portal email though. My application is approved but not finalized.

Well that's interesting! My medical exam passed the one year mark in December, 2020, but I haven't heard anything from the IRCC about a re-med or an extension. I'm still listed as having passed the medicals in December, 2019. Random, indeed!
