Got a 1 year study permit but my degree is 4 years long.

And how much funds do you need to show for that, 1 year tuition fees + $10,000 or $10,000 only?

Are you sure that they don't amend expiration date. If there is even a little chance that they do, I'll take the chance since I'll have to extend it anyway. If I'll have to extend it then I think I'm gonna send in the extension application after the first semester, i.e. after 4 months.

Got a 1 year study permit but my degree is 4 years long.

But you're talking about changes to name only. There are other types of amendments too such as the part-time work regulations. But I'm not sure if they amend expiration date too, I haven't read that anywhere. If they do then I might send in my study permit for amendment. The worst that can...

But what if it was a mistake? In that case, can we send it for amendment?

Got a 1 year study permit but my degree is 4 years long.

So in my case there were too many students so they just collected all our passports and gave us the permits. I read it and went to another immigration guy I came across. At first he said that the permit is for 1 year because my visa is for 1 year. I told him that my visa was valid of 4 years...

Got a 1 year study permit but my degree is 4 years long.

I just landed in Canada a few days ago and got my study permit from the airport. The study permit expires in 2023 whereas my study visa will expire in 2026 and my passport will expire in 2031. What should I do? Can I get it amended to have a new expiration date or do I have to extend it?

Can I travel to Canada and stay at relatives, if all my courses are online this semester?

So I just re-read the page and what I understand is that we need to complete at least 50% of courses in-person and in Canada to be eligible for PGWP. According to this, one can study less than 50% courses online, within Canada, and still be eligible for PGWP. Although IRCC does highly encourage...

Can I travel to Canada and stay at relatives, if all my courses are online this semester?

Alright, so yes you're right. But still keeping in mind that only 1 of my 8 semesters would be online, I don't think it will effect my PGWP, right? And what do you think about my main question, can I face any problems if I'm traveling to Canada with online courses this semester?

Can I travel to Canada and stay at relatives, if all my courses are online this semester?

Also, I just came across this: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/service-delivery/coronavirus/temporary-residence/study-permit/pgwpp.html This page says: Which means that online studies during summer/spring...

Can I travel to Canada and stay at relatives, if all my courses are online this semester?

No, Memorial always offered some online sections even before covid, so I'm choosing online courses only for this semester. And regarding PGWP, the number of courses I'll take online are minuscule compared to the total courses I'll take during my degree (like 4/30 courses). To clear it all...

    What is Advance CBSA declaration?

I was going through the Canada government website and came across this link: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/services/border-tech-frontiere/declare-before-avant-eng.html This seems like a new feature that just came out, and I plan to travel in May so maybe I can use it. Does anyone have any...

Can I stay in Ontario for a few days, if my final destination is Newfoundland?

What if my flight from Toronto to St. John's isn't booked by that time. I will book in a few days but what if I don't book by the time I land in Toronto, will the immigration officer ask me about it? Also, according to what I read on canada.ca, we can quarantine plan at our relative's house, is...

October 2021 applicants (SDS) still waiting for decision, what can we do?

I applied on October 1st 2021 SDS, gave biometrics on October 4th, medical updated and eligibility review started on November 19th but there has been no update after that. It's going to be 5 months since I applied. I raised a webform in January and they responded with the usual covid response...
