Interesting. Maybe this is part of the project the minister was talking about where applicants would be able to self administer their oaths? Maybe after self administering their oath they'll have an option to receive an e-certificate if they wish? I guess only time will tell

Was helping a friend apply for a visitor visa and noticed there is a new option for downloading a citizenship e-certificate on that portal. I found it quite interesting and wanted to share it with you all. Has anyone heard of this before? Check the video below - minute 2:57

Apparently IRCC has increased the capacity of its virtual ceremonies and have been conducting ceremonies of 100+ individuals. Hopefully this'll clear the backlog a lot faster.

Don't think anyone has any details about this. I imagine it would be something like the citizenship test where you get recorded cutting your pr card, reciting the oath, etc... Would be a good idea to submit and ATIP request for this topic.

Unfortunately we do not have a copy of the request but we pretty much used the same wording as in @rajkamalmohanram's request with few adjustments to tailor it for our purpose...

Anybody familiar with submitting ATIP requests? We can probably submit one to gain access to internal documents in order to shed more light on how online citizenship applications are processed. The media submits such requests all the time to gain access to government documents/emails and whatnot
