Here is my timeline. Submitted: Jan 25 Completed (in inspect): Feb 6th, was able to connect the application to IRCC website on the same day. Got an update from IRCC GCkey: Card was approved on Apr 4th Received card in mail: Apr 9th Total number of days: 69

I didn't get the email when they updated the status, but I was checking IRCC portal everyday, so i was able to see it there. However, on Friday an email came through telling me that now it is approved.

Apparently it was a ghost update (it is a thing, found out after googling it..lol) which tells us that our application is close to approval. Just got an email yesterday from IRCC that the application is approved.

I just saw an update on my IRCC GCkey after not seeing anything since Feb 6th when I first connected the application to IRCC portal. Its saying: "Apr 4: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.". I tried calling IRCC but couldn't connect...

Finally got hold of IRCC, they said they have no further updates as of now. They don't need anything from my side. The visa processing center will contract me if they need anything further. The wait continues... Anybody else applied in Jan and still waiting?

Thanks. Did you use your earlier mentioned technique like not pressing anything once on the call? Because I tried to press 3, 3 and 0 after refugee messages and it kept saying all our agents are busy and then the call got disconnected.

What time you called? I cant get hold of the rep. I was able to link my application to IRCC though and it shows processing. I applied on Jan 25th.

When you called them, did they give you any specifics like where is it at? I tried to call, but couldn't get through. Also do you recall when did you see "competed" in inspect method?

Congrats. That was quick! I have similar timeline as yours, but haven't received anything yet. Submitted - Jan 25 Completed (in inspect) - Feb 6th, was able to connect the application to IRCC website on the same day. Waiting for the PR card or any IRCC update

This is the ambiguous part. Some people can link the application once they see completed on inspect. Some people never see the linked application and they receive the card in a week or so after they see competed on the inspect. One person above actually called IRCC to inquire about it once they...

I was able to see the linked application the next day after the inspect showed completed. May be yours will show up in the day or two. I did the same thing as you did, used my UCI number and last name. Although, some people were never able to see the linked application in IRCC account.

That's strange that some folks were not able to link the application. I linked my applications and both of them are showing up right now. But thanks for the update. That's a good indication telling they issue the PR card when the old application is invalid.

You wont see the application number at PR portal as far i know. Once IRCC starts reviewing your application (which takes a while depending on when you submitted), you can link up your application to your IRCC account, then you will see the application number starting with R in your IRCC...

@CNP Thank you for your reply. Is there anyway I can delete existing linked application from the portal. Since my new application isn't in the system yet, on entering my UCI and last name, it linked to my first PR card application from 5 years ago. Is there any way to delete that linked...
