    In-Person Ceremony and E-Certificate + Passport (?)

I see, for those who did in-person ceremonies and chose e-certificate in your application, does it mention that in your oath invitation letter? or do they just double check with you during the ceremony? I see many people who did in person only getting the paper option

    In-Person Ceremony and E-Certificate + Passport (?)

Hello everyone If someone is to get scheduled for an in-person ceremony and has previously requested an e-certificate: 1) Will they receive a paper certificate the same day or an e-certificate? I have noticed people who have been scheduled for in-person usually receive a paper one even if they...

IRCC is cruel for refusing visitor visa for PARENTS of refugee claimants

Yes she has a stable job to return to. She has been issued visitor visa 5 times before. I'm a PR. I explained the reasons, I am now waiting to GC Key notes for the second refusal. The officer has written: You have significant family ties in Canada I'm not sure what else to do at this point...

IRCC is cruel for refusing visitor visa for PARENTS of refugee claimants

Obtaining visa for my mom to europe would take more than a year. She has been approved and visited before, but the process is very lengthy. Thank you for mentioning the option though. I have been looking into it, but IRCC does not issue RTD at the moment unless it's urgent.

IRCC is cruel for refusing visitor visa for PARENTS of refugee claimants

I have been a PR for around a year now. She visited when I was a protected person (and the visa was issued then!!) 3rd country is not an option for me as a LGBTQ+ refugee. Countries who accept RTD are very limited, and RTDs are only issued in urgent matters right now. It's as if IRCC wants to...

IRCC is cruel for refusing visitor visa for PARENTS of refugee claimants

It's not. How many countries are tolerant/accepting towards vulnerable LGBTQ+ populations? Furthermore, RTD are not accepted in many countries... Every document they need is given, she has been here 5 times before and didn't stay... I'm not sure why they can decide to refuse just cause.

IRCC is cruel for refusing visitor visa for PARENTS of refugee claimants

I was told that visitor visas cannot be appealed. In this case, can I appeal it through hiring a lawyer? do you know how much it would cost (a general estimate). Thank you!

IRCC is cruel for refusing visitor visa for PARENTS of refugee claimants

It's truly sad... refugee claimants cannot go to their home country due to fear of prosecution. I am an LGBTQ refugee and IRCC has refused my mother's visitor visa twice. She has a stable job and a husband, as well as financial aspects. The officers just deny it for no reason (twice) for a...

Mom visa got denied after visiting canada 5 times

Thank you for the reply. How do I ask for consideration? That’s what I believe as well; initially, the reason the officer wrote was they’re not satisfied she will leave the country. However, after requesting GCMS notes, I saw all this irrelevant reasons to her case which was strange; is there an...

Mom visa got denied after visiting canada 5 times

The last one, but not for reasons that would concern IRCC for my mom. It’s LGBTQ reasons. My mom has been to Canada before when I was a refugee, if she wanted to claim she would’ve claimed then.

Mom visa got denied after visiting canada 5 times

She has her own practice. For the visit, she does not have an attorney and did it herself with my help. I wrote it in the letter that she will pay for her expenses, but I can support if needed. Should I re-apply for her visa?
