You stop working as soon as you receive certificate from college. Once you apply for pgwp with valid study visa you can start working full time the day you submit your pgwp application

unfortunately you can only wait depending upon the intake it might take some more time.

I think it just points that you applied for extension before your work permit expired. This will help down the road when you submit two or more work/study permit. One without remark and gap between two permit would mean that first extension was refused.

yeah this is huge mistake from your end. As an international student it's your job to follow all rules laid down in your study permit. No one can be held accountable other than the student if they breach any condition no matter what the reason was. Your can let them know the reason behind this...

I applied for extension on 26th Dec 2022, review started on 10th feb followed by approval on 13th Feb.(with my previous study permit expiring on 31st Dec 2022)

In this case, as soon as you can get extension letter from the college indicating the reason. As the processing time is whooping 150 days so the apply for one as soon as you get all the required documentation.

What's the reason btw? If you are interested in another program then earlier the better. If you need more time to graduate, then too earlier the better.
