If you don't have a valid reason then they won't entertain your request. FYI, mine was a renewal of the PR card, not the first one.

I had to submit a new application for urgent processing along with a doctor's note, confirmed tickets, proof of payment and letter of explanation.

Update Received my PR card today. Applied on June 20 but didn't get AOR till Sept 30. Then applied for urgent processing on Oct 01, received AOR on Oct 06. Decision made on Oct 08, card sent on Oct 15. Thanks
