    Aww I would have posted too in the rush of excitement. Unfortunately, the above posters are correct: it appears to be for PR applications. I am optimistic IRCC will pick up pace, so hopefully it will be the reality soon!

    Congrats! As already said, keep as many extra IDs just to be prudent, and everyone is supposed to be on the same screen I believe. Glad to see your journey come to a close. Must have been a long wait but surely worth it :)

    I understand it as the following: they qualified for the citizenship when they applied. However, since then, they have not stayed in Canada enough to meet the residency requirements when looking back 5 years.
