I'm thinking I'll ask them in this interview itself about portal me email if I get to book. I didn't send it myself but others found it hard to get a response via webform as well i.e after getting DM and waiting long for a portal email.

Hey IuKhan! IRCC account says no interview required. Also this email appears unrelated to application process itself. Says this interview is for feedback on IRCC application processs and participation is voluntary and anonymous.. I suppose that means optional.

hey all, got my DM 50 days ago and been waiting for my 1st portal email since. Wonder what could be the reason. I hope officers are keeping threads on the applications they have been processing and not leaving them abruptly to do something else and forget where they left things when they come...

Thanks for doing this Klein. I got my DM on ecas a month ago ~ August 12th and have been waiting for portal email since. Would be nice to know if there are others in a similar situation waiting so long for portal email after DM. (other info: My AR Sept 2020 2 nd week. ADR and Medical passed...

Yeah I'm inland applicant currently in Canada. O Canada, the logistics of it all is getting too complicated for me... that's crazy not being able to travel between PR confirmation and PR card inspite of having other visa.... Hope the time it takes between those is not too long.

Silence on my side too. Guess got DM a ~week before you and I'm a single applicant. Wonder if they will at least let us travel if we have a visitor visa to come back to Canada. Otw this is wait after everything being done is too brutal. Do they ask for our passport once we get a portal emails...

Yeah! Good idea.. they should do that. That way Canada can keep raising to the occasion and solving major crisis world over. But right now I don't know if thats happening but it definitely feels like basically any event anywhere in the world can end up being a good excuse for slowing down...

Ontario, Inland and I'm OINP as well :) I really hope this has nothing to do with Elections or Afghanistan and things are running at pace.. I mean we can't be pushed over for ages for everything all the good, bad and ugly happening in and out of the country... O yeah I forgot the Pandemic! God...

So someone, what is a ghost update ? Timeline: Inland applicant. Sep 2 nd week AR, June MR, July 2 week MP, ADR end of June, submitted soon after, DM on ecas ~ a little more than week ago.

there was a change due to covid, some people who have been in canada and who meet some other criteria have been exempt from medical. May be you meet those criteria and that's why the officer was saying you don't need medical. regardless, shouldn't be a problem since you did it anyways..

that must be really hard on you. But nothing is more precious than life please don't think along those lines. For all we know who knows how things could be have been the other way. Live in the moment for the time being.

Congrats! I too received DM earlier this week and waiting for portal email. Did you see DM on ecas or GCkey account ?

Did you check your ecas ? My ecas says Decision Made but GC sign-in account says doing background and criminality. Don't know what that means...
