How long have you been waiting for your COPR?

Hi all, my application status in now Approved as of Friday afternoon! However, I have not yet received any letter, correspondence or an official COPR letter. Is anyone else also in this situation? Any idea how long a wait there usually is between the application being approved in the IRCC system...

There is no news source for this unfortunately but I was told this by an IRCC telephone agent. This can also be inferred from the number of cases that were approved during this time.

As best as I can tell, IRCC assign a group of applications to different case officers and each case officer roughly processes their own cases in chronological order. However, the different case officers seem to work at very different speeds and this ends up with vastly different COPR dates for...

I am in the same situation. Unfortunately I don't think this means much. I have been waiting for three weeks and have not progressed. I think there is a lot of variability from one officer to another. Some people on this forum have reported waiting 2 months from this point to receiving COPR.

Just to clarify, once you have landed you do not need to pay the tax? Even before you receive your PR card?

Exact same situation for me. I thought that once everything is passed I would quickly receive COPR but I have been waiting two weeks since I called and was told that every step is passed.

I believe you are referring to outland PR applications. Currently, the majority of PR applications being approved are inland and so the process is different.

Hi Sid, what are you basing this on? Do you have a reference for that?

I am also interested in the answer to this - NRST rules are somewhat unfair on long term (non-PR) residents in the GTA.

I phoned the IRCC line last Monday and they said all steps of my application are "approved" (unofficially). What is the typical time from this to receiving CoPR?
