Yes once you are a canadian citizenship your baby born while you are a citizen will automatically be a canadian citizen doesnt matter if the child's mother is a pr, citizen or citizen of another country. Only one parent has to be a canadian citizen

tell them you gotta travel within the next 2 weeks and need the certificate asap they can probably send it to you quickly. I have seen some people get it within a week's time

Ottawa office alert!! After 25 months I finally got the oath date for March 8th, 2022. Finally now I can see the the light at the end of the tunnel. this has been a never ending process those who are still in the middle of it please hang on i know this is frustrating but I am sure your test/oath...

Yea they are very slow. I just emailed them today reminding them that on their website they clearly state that they would schedule oaths within 3 months of test but so far nothing has happened so lets see if something happens. All others from ottawa office should also try emailing them...

ah lucky you! I did my test in October then got excited in early december when I saw everything was marked as completed but so far no oath. -- Ottawa office...and i feel for other people from this office who are waiting patiently for some movement for the last 2 years :(

Great! Congratulations - my ecas has been in Decision made since dec 6th so far no oath notification (office ottawa) - this is just frustrating - could be waiting for another few months and its been over 2 years since we sent in our applications :(

yea I lost it too - and from what I have heard froma few other people on other groups they didnt care much. As long as you can cut your PR card you should be okay.

As per those due dates I should have been a citizen by Aug 2021 (that was the due date for most tasks in my GCMS notes) however all tasks got completed the first week of december. Now waiting for Oath.

No idea man. I am also from Ottawa. My file got updated today with everything being marked as complete today. And over on ECAS its showing up as Decision Made. So I am not sure when they will schedule us for Oath. However looking at previous applicants from Ottawa they usually should schedule...

Does anybody here got a ghost update in new their tracker account? I only have test and background showing as completed and its been almost 2 months since I had my test activity updated to as completed. Yesterday when I logged in it was showing that the same day my profile/account was updated...

This Ottawa office has to be the slowest of them all? I just completed my test last night I guess I shouldn't expect them to make the other updates in my profile until the new year based on your experience. did they request passport scans or had an interview with you?

Anyone here who took the test from outside of Canada how long does IRCC take to respond to the email? I sent them an email letting them know that I would like to take the test from outside of Canada. thanks
