Online, I send them my passport the same day I got the PPR (June 28th, they received it June 29 via Courier). Still waiting to get it back. Should hear something this week. From other peoples experience its taking around 9-10 days to receive a response once they receive your passport.

I got charged today. Made the reservation yesterday. So expect to be charged tomorrow. They forward the credit card info to the hotel and they are the ones that charge your credit card directly. Thats why I believe it takes a day or so to be charged.

I thought they were going to charge my credit card right away but they have not charged it yet. I did already get the reservation confirmation via email. It was supposed to take up to 4 hours to receive but i got it in less than 15 minutes after the call.

March 1st. I wanted the Alt Hotel first but at the moment they did not have a rate for 2 persons. So I went for the Sheraton. I was not going to wait for 2+ hours again to see if the rate for 2 persons was available.

I did not ask specifically that if you check out earlier will they refund the remaining night, but I am guessing that not, because they make it very clear that once you complete the reservation, it is 100% Non-Refundable.

Yes, it includes everything. You don't have to pay anything extra. The rates are much higher than if you book directly through the hotel or Expedia, etc! So they are including the extra "services" on the rate.

The ALT Hotel in toronto has a 339+ tax rate per night for 1 Person. Its the cheapest of all hotels authorized in Toronto. I had to choose a different hotel because that one, for some reason, did not have a rate for two persons available. Hopefully that will change for others.
