Our best bet is trying to get to IRCC Amman. VFS global won't be helpful at this time as they are just waiting for the passports from IRCC. I tried calling them (IRCC Amman) but cannot get to a human to talk to. Maybe someone else can :)

I agree. From my side, I sent an email about a week ago, and another email about 3 weeks ago. Other people should too! For the calling, if you try, you will get an automated reply and I couldn't reach a person to speak with.

Have anybody figured a pattern to when passports are returned from IRCC Amman? Do they send passports every day or every number of days? (To know how hopeful I can be everyday :D)? Also, what can we do to expedite the process? Any ideas.

Hey Nina. New member here. I also applied for a spousal work permit (for my spouse), and we submitted the passport to IRCC a few days before the new year and still waiting :\ I sent an email to IRCC Amman and submitted a compliant webform as well. Hope we get the passports soon! Keep me updated...
