Well, it's not actually fast; the reason they sent the biometrics notice is that they have processed all the backlog for biometrics. Now, people are still waiting for eligibility interview; or, I have seen people on this forum applying online and receiving the WP before the interview.

It's just a notice for biometrics. They used to do both at the same time, I dont know why they stopped during the pandemic. You still have to wait until after the interview to receive your work permit. Good luck

Hi, I just applied for a work permit today. I checked the processing time and it says around 43 days (starting from the day they receive the application) for most cases. Does that time include saturdays/sundays?

ME and other people around the forum have tried every possible way to have the work permit before the eligibility interview, but nothing worked. I think it depends where you applied from and the case officer who's working on your case. (I'm still waiting too)

Nobody knows. every case was assessed differently than others, some people got it after 2 months and others had to wait 6-8 months.

I guess you if you don't receive it after 40 days, you contact IRCC to check again. Good luck

I don't think so Zak. I checked the asylum statistics online and IRCC in my province is processing less files than the office located in you province. Patience has its limits unfortunately and it turns into a burden instead of a key.

I know, I'm at my weakest state ever and I don't know how much more I can take without work or a permanent place to live. I'am exhausted.
