Online Processing time for SIN(Social Insurance Number) in Canada

I had applied in QC around 6 months ago to extend the date of expiration of my SIN. They did it in under a week and mailed the new document to my address.

Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

I read somewhere that they are not prioritizing outlands much because the job market is very bad at the moment. Bringing in new people might result in the government having to support those people financially if they cannot find a descent job soon. Despite being in MTL, it has been very hard for...

    Why is security not starting?

I must comment here as well because I got my COPR a few days ago. Ordering GCMS notes doesn't trigger actions. As a matter of fact, the page for requesting the GCMS notes states that ordering GCMS notes doesn't speed up your application.

Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

The changes I was referring to took place in early 2019 when the CAQ govt changed certain rules (and cancelled 18,000 old applications). For example, I got my CSQ after working in QC for 12 months and getting B2 in a French test. These days, PEQ applicants need too have 2 years for work...

    Last quarter 2018(July-December in/outland)without PAL/MR/DM/PPR contact here!

None. I've assumed that I won't get my PR in 2021. I've read and heard many theories, but it all boils down to the fact that they're not starting our security checks. At the same time, 2019 is getting their PRs, all the way to Jul 2019. Let's hope for the best and not rely at all on their...

    Why is security not starting?

No PR yet and no sign of security check either. I've assumed that I won't get my PR in 2021.

A person heard from their lawyer that the 2018 applications for QSWP were all made on paper. These papers are in the IRCC office and cannot be accessed by the agents because they are working from home. Many of the applications are being scanned so that agents can evaluate them remotely. This is...

If you haven't started your PR paperwork yet and if you don't have a preference for the province of Quebec for some reason, I'd suggest you to take a look at PR programs from other provinces. I do not mean to demotivate you, but given Quebec is known for suddenly changing laws and affecting...

Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

Has anyone heard of any new 2018 applicants getting a "decision made" lately? In the Facebook group, I saw 2 posts that got DM and they had applied in early Nov 2018. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

I learnt French and got b2 in 6 months. I got my CSQ under the old PEQ program. However, my application is still moving like a snail while people who applied 8 months after me have gotten their PR. I think the people who got their CSQ under the new rules (of the new govt) are the ones whose...

Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

I have asked to questions to myself many times. In summary, we have no control whatsoever over what they'll do with our applications. You can provide all documents, be a good citizen, do a medical exam in advance (if you can figure out how to do that), but the sad reality is that they can still...

Don't worry. It's all good. It's your information and you're trying to access it, so it's all fine. ATIP requests will just make the agent send you the info that exists. They won't change anything in your application.

I had thought about it. A legal consultant had told me that it's not possible. You have to withdraw one before making the other.

Same here. Applied Nov 19. GCMS notes show security as not started. However, you might wanna look for blank areas around the security assessment which might indicate that they've hidden some security check info.

If she hasn't had an AOR yet, it makes more sense, because an AOR usually implies that the application is complete and is worth reviewing. This is the reason why I applied for PR as soon as I got my CSQ. There are some applicants (I'm not talking about her though) who wait for years before they...

Quebec Skilled Worker Federal Stage (After CSQ)

As far as I know, if a not-so-important document is missing and it can be uploaded, the agent usually requests the applicant to upload the document. However, if a signature is missing, they have to send it back to get a signature. I guess it depends on the agent. I think they shouldn't return...

That's really sad, man. I read that one too. Does anyone know what happens after an application is returned? Does the applicant have a way to resume their application or do they have to start over from zero?
