I was finally able to get my passport from the post office. They attempted to deliver it on Friday morning. Missed me. And then the Canada Post dropped it off at my local post office on Friday night. I picked it up from there this morning. I got the new design and I applied in Toronto...

Has your oath been scheduled yet? If you are looking to speed up the passport process you could start gathering the parts that won't change. Like your name, your guarantors, your references. Then once you have a scheduled oath take the pictures. Wait for the certificate. Get all the signatures...

Alright I applied in person today. They said if all goes well it should be ready on the 18th. The agent really encouraged me to accept mailing...which is a risk in my eyes. He says that they will mail it as soon as they have it ready which could be before the 18th. I only had to wait 1h30 and...

Canadian Passport - Mail-In Application Timelines

Hello, I became a citizen on October 20th but I have had a busy busy month. I haven't been able to apply for my passport. I now want to apply but I am unsure if a walk-in will still be the best option because I see some folks here get a turn around of 3 weeks by mailing in. What made you go...

    Opting for in-person ceremony

If it helps, what I noticed is that people scheduled on the weekend usually get an in-person ceremony. Since the 4th is a weekday, it may be an online ceremony. You could try and ask for a change, and suggest some upcoming in-person ceremonies in your area. However, there is the risk of delays...

I agree with the person who posted above. Also remember that your days before PR count as half a day. So you don't lose anything waiting to secure more full days of physical presence

    Withdrawal of refugee claim .

If it is a valid temporary resident status, it may count. You may be able to use some of your time spent in Canada as an authorized temporary resident or protected person towards your physical presence calculation.
