How different is TEF Canada from TEF

I am preparing for my French language exams to increase my CSR score, I read somewhere that now only TCF scores are considered. Is it true? Im confused about what to do since I was preparing based on only TEF exam format. Can someone let me know ?

It says it's the score for people with Canadian experience. what about the ones with no canada experience???
