The funny thing is, just a few days after we sent our 2nd application, we received an AOR for the first one! They actually accepted it with the super old form. Wondering if they'll request the updated form at another point in the process. So weird.

Against ALL the odds, our first application was actually accepted (received AOR on the 20th of February). Not sure if they're just going to request a revised form later on in the process? Will be interesting to find out ...

Update: application was received January 20th, 2021 and just received AOR via email yesterday (February 20th, 2021). Was also able to link to my GCkey account same day (using application number + family name and then applicant's passport details)

When I spoke with an call center representative regarding our error, they said to send in a new application as the old one is a guaranteed return. We are using the same payment receipt as the first application, so if by some fluke they don't return the first one, the second one will be rejected...

They did not return it, but it's a guarantee to be returned as we used a form that's almost 20 years old. I'm just getting ahead of it and resubmitting so I don't lose months waiting for it.
