Just an update on timings - I uploaded my address & photo to the portal on Thursday night and just received my PR this morning.

Well, that’s a wrap! I got my PR this morning. What an ordeal that was, haha. I hope all of you who are still waiting get your PR soon. See you all in the citizenship thread in a few years, haha.

It never left Ottawa, I got my first email from OSC. My timing is a bit weird because I have had a lot of issues. I got a call back in July asking why I never responded to an email they supposedly sent in May (which I never received) and there was a lot of misinformation/silence and then...

I received my first email on August 4th & my portal credentials last night (12th). I uploaded my info right away, now to wait for CoPR!

FINALLY got my credentials email & uploaded everything. I wonder if it will be another week before I get my actual eCoPR

Haha, this process has been way too broken for me to start celebrating just yet! But soon!

I’m in Vancouver, but my application was processed in Ottawa. My local MP in Vancouver followed up and told me they had asked for the email to be resent yesterday.

I fiiiiinally just got my 1st portal email! Looks like getting the local MP involved did the trick!

Local member of parliament, they can help with complex cases and overdue processing times. I just emailed her the background and asked her to investigate on my behalf - I’m done with waiting.

My case notes say that I was put into the queue to receive the portal email in May. It never arrived it and it has been one giant clusterf*ck trying to get it fixed since then. I’m going to get my local MP involved if I have no luck after this supposed 20 day waiting period for an answer.

Still waiting. Still no email. I called IRCC last week to ask if there was any update on their mistake and I was told that it can take 20 days from my last call. I’m so freakin’ frustrated. They’ve been messing up my virtual landing for almost two months.

I called IRCC this morning because I still haven’t received anything, and they could see a record of the call I received last week, but nothing showing that the portal email had been resent. They couldn’t give me any further info but they’ve emailed Ottawa to follow up. And so the...

Hopefully you’ll have answers soon! Are you being processed at Ottawa too? Technically I’m still waiting, and not exactly filled with confidence that this email is arriving any time soon.

Yep, and I even spelled it out on multiple occasions haha. They had the right address, no idea what happened!

She was very lovely and just doing her job, but the process is so unnecessarily convoluted! I was like ‘can I confirm that I’m in Canada right now? You called me on my Canadian number and I’m in Vancouver’ No. ‘Can I have a number to call if I don’t receive it?’ No. Lollllls.
