LP completed and waiting for Prohibition to complete since Dec 6th. Anyone know if the majority of the applicants from May 2023 are done with their oath?

What is the difference between background check and prohibitions in the tracker? Is security clearance a part of background check or prohibitions?

All the best! I'm still waiting for an invitation for oath nearly 3 months after the interview, where they said they have to do another background check as the previous one was done in the old name fml lol

I believe the majority of May applicants have not received a decision yet.

When I sent them the webform with the name change certificate, they replied back saying that my file has been updated with the new name but it wouldn't be reflected on the tracker. I think it's fine as long as you submitted the DL and name change certificate (both in your new name).

This makes sense but are you sure we can apply for a passport using a citizenship certificate that has the old name and a legal name certificate done after becoming a citizen? I also thought of changing my name before applying for my citizenship application but didn't take that route...

I submitted my citizenship application using my old name and then got a legal name change in Ontario while that was processing. I had my interview this morning. She asked some basic questions about what I do here, confirmed my contact details, scanned a copy of my new government-issued id and said that that I can expect an invitation for oath early in the new year. The whole interview lasted 5 mins at most.

I got a reply a few days after I sent them the scanned copies through email.

I got the email on the same day as the tracker got updated saying that I had to come for an interview.

Thanks for letting me know! Did the officer say anything at the end about a decision or how long it may take?

What questions did they ask you?

Is LPP marked complete in the tracker only after the interview, for people who get asked to do the interview? Or can LPP be checked before the interview takes place?
