Just called CIC and was told it will be dispatched on 14 Oct and then 6-10 days in mail to recieve. So we all can expect to receive our PR cards by the end of Oct.

What is the processing time ??? Can u do it online ???

Amongst all those who landed in August 2012....did u guys recieve PR cards ??? I did mine on 11 Aug,2012...still waiting ???

Hi all, I am a PR and as am married ,I wanted to change my last name ( surname) and take my husbands last name .I have an Indian passport which is valid till 2021 and when I called the CGI (Toronto) , they said I cannot apply for name change in my passport as it is still valid and can do so...

My friend will post my PR card once she gets it but I dont want to count on that. How do I go about for applying for a travel document in India ?? How long does it take ??? Are there any fees for it ??

I did my landing on 11 August and waitin for my PR card. I need to travel to India in 1st week of October. My question is if I dont receive my PR card before I leave for India, what options do I have to return without PR card ??

Re: 1 month of waiting to get passport back from Detroit !!! Did my landing at Lewiston bridge !!! Had to wait for an hour to cross the US border, after that things went smoothly. Was not asked for anything by the Canadian officer !!! Am finally a PR !!!Thanks to all the members on this forum !!!

My e-cas didnt change ..till date it is MR received. I had my interview for FSW on 7 August ,so I emailed them saying that I wont be able to attend the interview. Also after landing...will mail them back saying I an already a PR and withdraw the application. For you...just wait till u get ur PR...

No news yet been 38 days.Emailed CIC ...received a reply " Your application remains in process and your documents will be sent in due course." This waiting period is killing me !!!
