    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

that is plain stupid sorry for the word - if it was the fact you could not change passport or if you loose it you cannot become resident - does not make sense at all

    Goods to follow form?

I went to CBSA with my list of goods - simple description - mark of the company (Sony, e.g.), colour and estimated value. Officer attached it to my application they gave me, I filled it out there and he stamped both application and my list. He told me with this I should be OK. I understand that...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

I think the problem could be only for the person who need visa to enter Canada, they might have problem getting on the plane or such. Other than that if you show copy of landing (even though it says not for travel) they would have no reason not to let you in. And I believe immigration officer...

    INLAND APPLICATIONS 2010

I think you are really in a deep sh...., because I still have not received mine and I've landed 11 April. Now it seems it takes 8 weeks according CIC - 34 WORKING dayt. BTW I leave this Friday so if it does not arrive tomorrow I will have to have it mailed to me. Complications, complications >:(

Permanent Residency Card -- Landed May 4th 2011 -- How Long to wait?

It is 30 days but working days, so it is about 6 regular weeks. Currently, according to processing times updated 25 May, it is 34 working days, so seven weeks. I am planning to travel 3 June and I landed 11 April and still no card. Hope it arrives soon.

Certificate de Sélection du Québec issued before First Stage Approval?

your understanding is a bit off. no 2 is not sign of acceptance, merely a letter to invite you to proceed with MICC. even after receiving this letter CIC may transfer your file for interview. I repeat Aip cannot precede Csq. once csq is issued cic will either approve aip (first stage) alone or...

Certificate de Sélection du Québec issued before First Stage Approval?

I do not understand your confusion :). CSQ is always received before AIP, never after, because without CSQ you cannot receive AIP. According to case you mentioned CSQ was issued mid April and decision was made late April. Sounds about right

anyone from quebec who applied inland?

Maybe it will be different in your case. The letter will say what to bring - and sponsor was among them for me :)

So now get ready for the speciality of the Montreal office. They will send you a letter in which they will ask you to pay the PR fee and send the proof (if you have not done already so) and ask you to verify your personal details and send the verification back to them. This letter arrives pretty...

Anyone in Quebec taking the french classes

What exactly do you mean ''you get money for taking these classes'' I wonder. You know that you are obliged to learn French - you signed a paper obliging you to attain french when applying for CSQ. I know you could get financial assistance (transport and such), but I think this is as far as the...

anyone from quebec who applied inland?

Read the earlier posts it is explained there in more detail - Q1 no - MICC sends it to CIC but there were cases where communication did not work between them, If you do not hear anything within a month from CIC I would look into it. Q2 documents -AIP and CSQ - it must be at least AIP it cannot...

Hard to say how much "evidence" is enough...

Slovak Republic and on top of that I applied from Quebec, so rest assured that I am bewildered as well, but pleasantly ;D

Hard to say how much "evidence" is enough...

I agree with the post above - I supplied only 12 photos and all the explanation was in the form and an attached 1 page - that's it. No interview no additional info required, done and landed. After reading posts here I got really scared of not giving enough proof because my logic was - if you...

anyone from quebec who applied inland?

I think this was answered in earlier posts but I am lazy to look for it :). For health insurance you need CSQ and at least AIP - the letter from CIC to apply for CSQ is not sufficient - I learned the hard way and I believe others have the same experience. Same applies to MICC French courses. As...

Good luck, I am really surprised how quickly it was done even though CSQ step is involved.

So I am officially permanent resident as of today. The landing interview was fun packed 15 minutes. As some of you might know, I am in Montreal which seems to have different way of doing things. I got there 45 minutes before my appointment and to my surprise I got called just after 15 I was...
