    March 2023 - Citizenship Applications

Hi everyone! I have a question. I submitted an online application on March 15th and got an AOR on March 30th followed by another email requesting a police certificate on March 30th. I got the document and sent it as a reply to the IRCC email on April 10th. To this day I haven’t heard back from...

PR Card - first time -Processing Timeline 2021- Montreal office

Hi, I am the other guy, Mahmoud! I hope someone up the ranks read this article and contacts us! It's ridiculous how I've been waiting for more than a year just to get my PR card.

PR Card (New/Renewal) Processing Timeline 2020

in two weeks it'll be one year since I have applied for my PR Renewal! My application has been approved since Sep 2020 and was sent to the Montreal office for in-person pick-up. I called many times and sent many web forms, and the only answer I was getting is just to wait due to the closure of...

PR Card (New/Renewal) Processing Timeline 2020

Hi, I am in the same boat. I've applied for my second renewal on June 11t, 2020. Got AOR on September 17th I've called and sent many web-forms, and they told me that my application was approved in September! Yet, they told me that my card was randomly selected for in-person pick-up from the...

PR card In-person pick-up, Montreal office

An Update: I got an email on Wednesday from the officer who is in charge of my file, requesting me to send a new set of photographs so they can send me my PR Card by mail. In my head, I think they are doing this to ensure that I am here because I can't go to the office due to covid. What...

PR card In-person pick-up, Montreal office

Hi dpenabill, Thank you for this response, I truly appreciate the time you spent explaining everything. I was expecting that my application would take time, but not this long frankly. As well as I've expected being chosen to pick-it up at the office just to verify that I am here in Canada...

PR card In-person pick-up, Montreal office

At any point from the beginning of 2021, I will be at around 735 days in the last two years. So I guess an option of waiting abroad for a PRTD will be a bit difficult. Will this mean even if I get the PR card in the next few months, I won't be able to travel? I am a bit confused.

PR card In-person pick-up, Montreal office

Hi, In your opinion, what would be the best thing to do to expedite this process. I need to travel urgently to see my parents, and this whole dilemma is making everything difficult. Would buying a ticket and attaching it with the webform make the process faster? Thank you in advance!

PR card In-person pick-up, Montreal office

This has nothing to with me traveling a lot since the application has been approved. If they had suspected any inconsistencies they would have sent my application to secondary review and I would have gotten a notice about that.

PR card In-person pick-up, Montreal office

We don't have a Visa Center in my home country, so that's means I have to do it in a neighboring country if I decide to leave. Also, I would assume that due to covid the processing timeline for PTRD has increased, so I can't risk being away for too long.

PR card In-person pick-up, Montreal office

I did live abroad for work for two years and a half (and traveled a lot for work during this period). The thing is that I didn't get sent to secondary review, and my application has been approved/card been sent to Montreal office according to the many agents I've spoken to. So I don't understand...

PR card In-person pick-up, Montreal office

Hi, Has anyone been told that they were selected for an in-person pick-up and that they will have to wait for the officer handling their case to mail them about when and where to pick-up the PR card? I have applied for my second renewal on June 3rd, IRCC received my application on June 11th...

    June 2020 PR Card Renewals

Online it does say that the Montreal office is open. As for the reason why they said it's for quality assurance. I was working abroad for a couple of years, and they probably want to make sure that I am back in Canada. This whole situation is very frustrating, as I have few things depending on...

    June 2020 PR Card Renewals

I just spoke to someone from IRCC on the phone after an hour wait, and he was very useless, to be honest. He's like "It might take weeks, months, no one knows". I am trying to find a number for the Montreal office, but it seems like they don't have anyone online.

    June 2020 PR Card Renewals

Hi! Sorry to bother you again. Every time I try to log into the ECAS portal using my UCI, I get this message (We were not able to identify you using the information you provided) or even when I try to link my application via the GCKey portal. Is this normal?
