I saw couple of cases that had in-person interviews on this forum. There's a case that applicant living in Toronto and they had interview with Scarborough office.

    2026 January - Citizenship Applicants

I did take my oath yesterday, immediately signed and sent Oath form after that. It looks like IRCC starts speeding up processing for early 2026 applications. I hope all applicants waiting for their oath invitations will get good news very soon! Now it's time for me to say goodbye to Canada!

I hope they will process your application promptly from now on. Nobody should have endured such kind of mentality torture for months!

    2026 January - Citizenship Applicants

IRCC and the majority of Canadian public agencies are all so incompetent. Even a business with paid services like Canada Post, they can still mess things up.

    2026 January - Citizenship Applicants

Oh I see. It took me 3 or 4 attemps to get the call back option as the bot often said that it's overloaded with number of calls that they had to deal with at the moment and then went ahead and hung up. I retried after around 15-20 mins and finally got placed onto the queue. They did call back...

I'm sorry to hear that. Did you choose the option "agent call back later" when you tried to contact IRCC via phone? I had to do that because the wait time was around 45 mins when I called them this noon via 1-888-242-2100 (IRCC Automated Toll Free line, I believe).

    2026 January - Citizenship Applicants

I just got off the phone with an IRCC agent. It's a huge relief to learn that my wife and I both passed Physical Presence check on August 21st 2026 (no update on tracker though). So all LPP has passed so far. She told me that we only had to wait for Oath Ceremony Invitation and she had no idea...

    2026 January - Citizenship Applicants

It went radio silent after submitting additional documents on August 13th 2026. I have to disctract myself with mundane things and keep telling myself that this will be over "soon". Such a pain in my neck to deal with IRCC all of the time.

    2026 January - Citizenship Applicants

My tracker shows that my prohibition was updated to complete on August 13th 2026. My spouse and I have submitted additional documents for Physical Presence and hopefully we could see update on this in next few weeks. This arduous journey is really tiresome!

    2026 January - Citizenship Applicants

I've got a RFE for I-94 for my spouse and I today from IRCC. We disclosed our incident at Peace Bridge Border Crossing in 2024 and IRCC wants to see travel record. I can manage to obtain mine without any problem (I travelled to the US few times within last 10 years) but I cannot find any record...

    2026 January - Citizenship Applicants

I am sorry to hear that. It's something expected from IRCC as we have all experienced that since the time we applied for Canadian PR. They are not famous with efficiency.

    2026 January - Citizenship Applicants

Well, I did the same thing yesterday. At least we could know a thing or two about our applications. I have the feeling that January 2026 applications are much slower than those submitted in February and March 2026.

    Physical Presence Calculator

It should be No as you're not physically present in Canada from 2021-2026. A resident status (temporary or permanent) is only when you enter Canada legally and stay in the country for a period of time (measured in "day(s)"). This is just my interpretation and should not be taken as legal advice...
