36 Months Waiting for Sponsorship Approval !!!!

No, I haven't requested GCMS notes. Yes, I'm sure we haven't received Sponsorship Approval. Our application is under the regular PSR Community Sponsorship program. I'm not Afghan; In March 2026, ROC-O confirmed to our sponsor that our application was still in the queue, awaiting review by an...

Yes, but those applicants have already received Sponsorship Approval and are waiting for the next stages. I've searched through this forum and other websites, and I haven't found anyone who has waited 36 months just for Sponsorship Approval :(

Hi everyone, Our Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) application was received in November 2023. It's now been almost 36 months, meaning 3 years!!! and we still haven't received Sponsorship Approval. We only have g-number. According to IRCC's processing times, step 1 for Turkey takes around...

PSR timelines — Turkey (Ankara visa office)

Thanks for the reply If there is a backlog and quota restrictions, why does the IRCC official processing time page currently state 27 months for PSR applications from Türkiye? Wouldn't that official estimate already account for the backlogs? Also, since other applications submitted around the...

I submitted in 2023. Yes, true, before everything was fast, but now the process has become much slower.

    Privately Sponsored Refugee from Turkey

For me, it’s a community sponsorship. Yes, SAH applications appear to move forward quickly than other programs for G number and approval, but I heard, overall, the total time for getting the visa is about the same.

    Privately Sponsored Refugee from Turkey

It just keeps going up every time they update it! It was a total of 24 months a year ago, and now it’s 57 months, which is really annoying! Next year will become 100 months, then 200, and so on!

First, you need to get sponsorship approval, and after that, you’ll wait for the interview. I also received G number in February 2025.

    Privately Sponsored Refugee from Turkey

Congrates! Your case is moving very fast. I applied in November 2023 and received my G number after 15 months. It's now been 5 months since then, and I'm still waiting for sponsorship approval. Which country are you applying to? Did you contact IRCC, or have any special circumstances that made...
