2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

There are a few things I am wondering about. I am trying to understand the logic behind this irrational decision. Does your application file contain sufficient identification documents to verify your identity? Do you have a history of military or government service? Which country are you from...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

A standard one is quick these days; a compherensive one takes longer, but since it's a one-time initiative, even that shouldn't take as long as it used to.

It seems a bit late to submit it for comprehensive security clearance. If it had been initiated when the application was first filed, it would have been completed by now.

When did select for a34? Before eligibility or after? I think the fact that it says "security not started" until the very last moment might indicate that it's not an A34.

Your signature section caught my attention. Did you receive P1 even though "security not started" was displayed? Or did you not update that part?

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

I have a question I'm curious about. I read that some people here were asked for an A34 security screening. To understand the process better, I'm asking if those who were asked for an A34 during their PR application also experienced delays in their asylum applications? Also, a very extensive...

No, I certainly don't want to discourage anyone. Sometimes people are misled by others, and unsuccessful outcomes are upsetting. If you made this decision knowing everything, then we can't say anything. For me, the point is, if your lawyer or representative told you there's a possibility of it...

They can't request a PCC from your country of origin; if they did, that would be wrong. However, if you've lived in a third country for more than six months, they can request it from there. You mentioned they requested a lot of documents; that part is even more absurd. good luck for everything.

Perhaps it's being done in the background; the system hasn't been updated. Because this is a process that should be done after eligibility anyway.

Most likely, they either sent this email when the file was ready for finalization and they will make the final decision after checking the military service document, or they are initiating the security process at this stage. If they are just initiating the security process now, one should ask...
