2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Thank you, the only thing that comes to my mind which might had some effect was that I also provided a letter of explanation to answer any question they might have, when they ask for documents while we have already told them that we never served in military; shows that they had some concern...

Can Dependant child of refugees return to their home country after getting PR in canada?

Hi It's been 3 years since you posted this; can I please ask about your experience? Did your brother travel back home? My dependent also wants to have a short trip back home and she never claimed asylum; but what I'm seeing on internet that it's too risky to do so, can I please ask if your...

Hi everyone, I wanted to share an update that my dependent received her eCOPR today, officially completing our PR journey! Sharing our timeline for anyone experiencing the same gap between family members: August 8: P2 submitted (photo + address declaration for both) August 15: Principal...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Yes we both got P2 at the same time; filled out our portal together (even her declaration, photo and address was submitted earlier than mine) I got my eCOPR on August 15, but still nothing for her Guessing the only way they can control landings is by wasting time on generating a paper which won't...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Same here; I heard it's normal to not receive it at the same time but I'm not sure for how long we should wait

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Don’t stress about what the call centre agent told you, I'm assuming you're a dependent on the file; for dependents, the system doesn't show a Final Decision (FD) until the officer actually generates the eCOPR document. Agents on the phone just read off that screen, so they see "no FD" and...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

I don't think that would be a problem, if you have provided a different email address on your application they will email that one in case they wisht to send a separate P1 email, other than that any updates would be sent to PA's email address as you were included in the application from day one...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Wow it's outrageous Weren't they supposed to process dependents simultaneously as the PA's application? The fact that we can't even track dependents file is more exhausting I'm sure you'll hear from them one of these days

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

That's ridiculous! If they could have just simply be more transparent; shared every step and notes with a proper timeline, would have avoided this much of frustration, phone calls to their office, webforms and ATIP note requests Hope you hear from them very soon

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Hi everyone, Has anyone here recently received an eCOPR for inland dependents? What did your timeline look like between the primary applicant's confirmation and the dependent's eCOPR? Do inland dependents need to complete any extra steps, or is it strictly a waiting game? It feels completely...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

Hi there, I had this exact same issue! The PR Confirmation Portal is actually the same website where your initial PR application was submitted (before you linked it to GCKey). Because you used a representative, they likely created that original account using your email address. That is why the...

2023 PR Applications Timeline (Protected Persons & Refugees)

I'm really sorry to hear that. It’s frustrating because they often delay files for what seems like no reason at all. You could look into applying for mandamus to force a decision, but be careful. I’ve heard recently that if your file is stuck in comprehensive security screening, the court will...
