    All application for PR must do another biometrics. They do not use biometrics given during TRV like visitor, study and even refugee claim etc for PR. The reason, I do not know. I have given biometrics 3 times myself within my 5 years journey.

    Its a good sign that your file is moving. Congrats. As for the biometrics, its normal. When you apply for PR for the first time, IRCC usually ask for a fresh biometrics for whatever reason. Biometrics for temporal resident permits like study permit, visitors visa etc are not valid for PR. I have...

    For Permanent residency, they always require biometrics even if you have provided before for your temporal residency permit application. Its standard. The reason makes no sense to me but its standard.
