Are you in Montreal by any chance. It seems there is a bunch us from March who got the fp request in June and didnt hear back. What @Hwallikniw mentioned about our files being forgotten might actually make sense. Not sure if there is anything we can do collectively- m34

Similar boat here. The 68k ahead of you is indicative and not necessarily they have to be completed before your turn comes. There are actually people who applied after us in July that got their oath scheduled already. Call IRCC now and they would tell you are still within processing time or call...- m34

Is it ok to leave Canada after citizenship application but before AOR?
There is normally a ghost update a few days later after fp submission which likely marks receipt of fp by ircc fro rcmp- m34

For your second question, it can happen a few days to a few weeks after AOR. In our case, the request was sent 6 weeks after AOR. Nowadays, AOR takes about 2 months. The fingerprint request letter has your applicaiton number on the top right which you can use along with your UCI to create your tracker. You probably have an AOR but you either missed it or a bug prevented it from reaching you.- m34

I guess we are both in the same situation. From Montreal. My prohibitions pending, wife stuck in background and prohibitions (she got fp request in june). Last update in july. Important events for me as well in 26. We probably have the same officer processing our files!- m34

Is it ok to leave Canada after citizenship application but before AOR?
Yes she can leave and yes she can take the test outside Canada, but she has to inform IRCC (this will be indicated in the test invitation letter). Keep in mind she may still be asked for interview or provide fingerprints at some point, which require her to be physicaly present in Canada.- m34
