They don’t ask for a police clearance from everyone. It’s only required for those who have lived in a country other than their habitual residence for more than six months. there is no fix time for this. but it usually takes 2-6 months to get Temporary number, and another 20 days-2 months for permanent number. if you are lucky you will get earlier. :) good luck.- niagrafalse
