    Grant review ready pm01

Is this from CBSA or IRCC? I recommend not requesting from IRCC because they are slower and redact extra information. Either way, if it’s redacted, it means your background is in process, and you might be under some more intensive check. Due date means nothing, seems like my issue is different...

    Grant review ready pm01

Does your GCMS say anything on APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT? Mine is empty and I figured that it’s possible the previous officer just left my file aside. There’s no accountability at all in this process.

    Grant review ready pm01

Same here — background has security in progress but the sub activity of CIT CSIS already shows “Received” If so many people have the same issue but there is no commonality then the most plausible explanation is they simply forgot about our application… May 2025 applicant

    February 2025 - Citizenship Applications

I am in the same situation, May applicant, only difference is my review is PM01. I suggest you start a new thread/post for this to see how many people are stuck here. It seems like they have already concluded the least intensive search but there’s something for them to review/they simply forgot...

If you request through privacy act, it costs 0, and requesting through CBSA is faster, frequently resulting in more complete information too.

Test Completed But BACKGROUND CHECK in progress.

CIT CSIS Screening Status: Received Validity date: censored, but can see there is an entry Status Updated Date: 2025/08/28 I guess I’m just unlucky and didn’t get the auto pass My thoughts: validity date being there indicates they have already finished work on it, and if there is a red flag...

Got my GCMS notes CIT CSIS Screening started (edit: “received”) Aug 28 Status for screening says “received” so I guess my file will be stuck forever Very weird stuff, will apply for CSIS notes too Update: seems like “received” means they have already received results from CSIS? If that’s the...

    May 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Funny that they define a routine application as something that’s within the normal timeline — it only becomes non routine if it exceeds, as if it’s not related to their procedures itself. Either way today I learned my PO is Vancouver, could be why it is so bad. Still waiting for GCMS.

I don’t think it can be extensive if it’s randomly selected. I was born in China and never been to anywhere other than Canada since I was a teenager. If they randomly select people it’s more likely for process quality assurance reasons, same with random interviews.

    May 2025 - Citizenship Applications

As far as I am aware FP request is only for criminality (they want to root out the possibility the applicant committed an indictable offense). Some people simply clear it without needing FP. That seems to be the first stage of background. Then if you never got FP but are otherwise in process...

I have zero international travel history in the past 10 years, it’s probably completely random.

Seems very random and could be bad luck they picked us for a random check. In my case it could be because I changed addresses too frequently (I’m a university student). Either way I try to not speculate and just wait for the ATIP.

    May 2025 - Citizenship Applications

Thanks, this is very strange. I called IRCC but they said I’m in the second stage of the background check and my application is routine. Could mean that they initialized a security clearance on a random basis but not a comprehensive check. Either way I requested CBSA notes to find out. The...

May 18 applicant Physical presence 1097 Jun 20 AOR Aug 15 Test complete Ghost update Aug 30 (no background update) Still no background or LPP Judging from PR experience a GCMS request might trigger an update, not sure if it applies here but I applied anyways just to see what’s going on.
