    Your mother needs to seek help if she needs help to make sure her children can go to school and maintain valid status while she works in Canada. She should contact the school board for the new LOA. It should NEVER be on the shoulder of a grade 8 kid to figure it out. :(

    I assume that you saw that Quebec has paused new spousal sponsorship application until June 2026. It will be a while before you can apply to sponsor her if you got your PR this year. And submitted applications are taking a lot longer for Quebec vs other provinces.

    How about medical? Background and police check? Sponsor eligibility is far from just waiting for PPR. I don't know how OHIP will be available to people who only has AOR. From my understanding it's AIP (applicant eligibility) unless it has recently changed.

    What stream did you apply for your PR? Does that has any bridging work permit available? As Naturgrl replied, you need to wait for your SP extension in order to work while waiting for PGWP. It's a tricky situation.
