On VFS website for Dubai, the only option is for biometric submission not for passport, but will call and check. In my application it also says background check in progress though. -

True, let’s just wait and watch. But I don’t understand what is the sponsor part in tracker. Like me and my husband invited my mom. And on the tracker my husband name is shown as sponsor.. what does this mean? -

After your message, I just tried again and I was able to create an account. On the portal it shows we are reviewing your eligibility but in the tracker it hasn’t started yet. Having it in there system means, I can expect a reply soon? -

I applied 18 June, eligibility started on 23 June but still nothing, so I don’t think even if eligibility starts it would mean getting a response soon. All we can do is wait or just raise a web form. -

Yes, I think you are right. Cause for my father in law, it took like 5 days for approval after biometric completed. Anyways, hoping for a positive response, however, long it takes. -

I think this delay is because of large volume of applications. Like with my in laws visa last year, we got approval within a week after submitting biometric. But at the moment looks like long delays. -
