    You don't HAVE to fill in the representative form. BUT if in the future you want to call IRCC about their application, you cannot act as a representative. And so you will only get status update for sponsor and not the applicant. So it's up to you to decide.

    Your mother needs to seek help if she needs help to make sure her children can go to school and maintain valid status while she works in Canada. She should contact the school board for the new LOA. It should NEVER be on the shoulder of a grade 8 kid to figure it out. :(
