    Rules for Mexican visitors changed since they visited because too many were claiming asylum, trying to enter the US, etc. As long as they have the funds and ties to Mexico their previous visit and return should help their TRV application. They should apply as soon as possible.

    Typically no but I would verify with the airline and/or US immigration. Just saw you are going through Puerto Rico for no great reason which is a very unusual route. You need to ask the US this is not a Canadian issue.
