AIP PR processing- Open work permit extension refusal

How did your employer not question how you were entitled to the OWP when you were on a closed WP with them? Insane that employers just ignore these things and that IRCC took 6 months to realize you had no grounds to apply for the OWP.

Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot 03/31/25

Yes can be longer than 1-2 years. The whole program is a disaster and also filled with fraud. They still haven’t finished the previous program so tough to predict this one especially with smaller PR quotas in general.

PR Processing Timeline for February 2025 Inland Spousal Applicants — Will It Take Longer Than 12 Months

All you can do is go along with the IRCC ride and see what happens and when it happens. Posted processing times mean very little for most and are often incorrect.

    July 2025 Supervisa Application

If you have no savings there will likely be concerns that at a certain point you will not pay the premium because you have other more urgent expenses. AIP PR processing- Open work permit extension refusal

How were you eligible for an OWP? Did you continue working for your employer while you applied for the OWP? If so did they not question how you could continue working for them? They are not obligated to do anything. Your best and only option may get to leave Canada. You can restore your status...

    vulnerable Workers open work permit

Not really financial abuse. Business was likely out of funds which is why you didn’t get paid for the last month. Employer should have let you go a month earlier but was likely trying to salvage their business and thought they would be able to pay you even if they were late. This was not a...

    Humanitarian and Compassionate Applications 2025

The H&C programs are a mess. Way too many applicants for an ever decreasing number of spots every year. Processing times are going to increase. You should be looking at other options to remain in Canada. H&C applications also do not prevent removal and we are seeing people without status being...

    July 2025 Supervisa Application

If you have no savings how will you pay for insurance, expenses associated with another adult, etc. in addition to other unexpected costs for you and your family. Just the flight and insurance alone is likely around 3k.

H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

1500 pages to review taking much longer to evaluate is actually quite justifiable and why I would not recommend that people submit such a long application.

    Québec PR Timelines

To have a chance of writ of mandamus your processing time has to be significantly longer (years not months) than not only posted processing time but actual processing times which are often not the same. Processing times in general are getting longer every month so the average processing time...

Sure you can renew your passports early if your home country allows this. This doesn’t solve you issue that after April 2026 unless you have AIP you will no longer have status and may struggle to extend your status as visitors.
