    Would consider withdrawing the application and applying again. Drastic but seems the easiest option if there are no answers. The situation in Iran and risk of not returning home will always be an issue but has gotten worse.

    Your boyfriend should show he can fund his own visit and has strong ties to return to his home country like longterm job, property, etc. Previous international travel history, especially to certain countries, also helps.

    Even with ties to Canada the H&C program was never meant for parent sponsorship. There are some really exceptional cases but in general Canada has PGP and supervisas for a reason.

    Yes you can update your application via webform if there are any changes or additional information. It will take years for most cases to get reviewed so there is a a good chance most will need to be updated along the way.
