    Does it specify proof of round trip airfare? That is very strange because IRCC strongly discourages purchase of airfare when applying. Proof of itinerary and proposed flight plans are usually sufficient.

    Sadly that is becoming fairly common wait time for a hearing. As previously noted you can follow-up with IRB about when you can possibility expect a hearing date. They may or may not be able to give you an approximate timeline.

    Still takes a long time to skim through that volume of information which is why it is best to provide a smaller amount of documentation. A H&C case can be made in much less than 1500 pages.

    For example where they are from, whether they’ve lived in numerous places, whether these countries share information with Canada, what jobs they have held, etc. these all can impact length of a background check.

    Means nothing in terms of approval/refusal. Many members never give out their ruling at the end of a hearing. They aren’t required to. Wouldn’t analyze the end of the hearing too much. As previously said it could be a few weeks to a few months for a NOD.
